The course aims to provide participants with -

• knowledge of your Club management's responsibilities
• an overview of the importance of gaming machine staff
• basic knowledge to understand gaming machine performance and cash flow analysis
• the necessary knowledge to perform their duties in an efficient and effective manner
• knowledge of the importance of sound customer relations and excellent customer service

Course Objectives

On satisfactory completion of the course participants will be able to –

• discuss their Club's responsibilities concerning gaming machine operations
• state the importance of the duties and roles of various gaming machine staff positions
• explain gaming machine performance, cash flow analysis and its interpretation
• state the impact of poor job performance on machine performance and Club profit

Our experience in conducting this type of course for a large number of N.S.W. registered clubs indicates that the course helps to enhance the self esteem of staff and improves their knowledge of gaming machine operations, the importance of their respective duties and the consequences of their actions.

The course is conducted in a relaxed manner using a mixture of lectures, working exercises and group discussion.

Responsible Conduct of Gambling Course

Phil Bennett is an accredited trainer and this course incorporates learning and competencies for award of Certificate of Attainment in THHADG03A - Provide Responsible Gaming Services – in partial completion of Certificate IV in Hospitality (Food & Beverage Supervision).

This mandatory training program has been designed for use by hoteliers and secretary managers and staff of gaming venues in New South Wales. The guidelines and suggested strategies contained in this program aim to encourage a responsible, caring and professional approach to the responsible conduct of gambling.

Course Objectives

At the end of this training program participants will be able to:

• Describe the context of gambling in NSW.
• Explain the indicators and impact of problem gambling.
• Describe the legislative framework for the responsible conduct of gambling.
• Implement responsible conduct of gambling strategies.
• List the benefits of implementing responsible conduct of gambling strategies.
